Twelve years of Tourismus Interaktiv – and now the next phase begins
1-minute summary
Christoph Standl talks in this episode about Tourismus Interaktiv's twelfth anniversary and what the experience of these twelve years means for the company's future. He explains that a customer, for whom the first info points were installed ten years ago, has just placed a new order, and that a German customer has extended its agreement by three years. Such examples showed that the company's solutions lead to long-term customer relationships. At the same time, the business model is fundamentally changing through artificial intelligence. The company is intensively working on AI agent services, already testing them with first reference customers and building its own company board. Especially in tourism, with its small-scale structure and shortage of skilled workers, he sees great potential for practical AI applications. Despite not fully succeeding in raising growth capital, he looks ahead with confidence: the coming years should build on the past twelve and mark the start of a new phase.
Description
Today is a special day: Tourismus Interaktiv is celebrating its twelfth birthday.
For me, this is less an occasion just to look back. The much more exciting question is: What do we make of twelve years of experience now?
Right now, we are seeing the value of long-term customer relationships. One customer places a new order ten years after the first Infopoint installation, another extends the partnership for another three years after six years.
At the same time, our business model keeps evolving. Our existing solutions and products remain and continue to be expanded – and in parallel, a new business field is emerging with artificial intelligence and our TI Agent Services.
In doing so, we want to use our own practical experience with AI agents, our Company Brain, and new ways of working, and increasingly pass this knowledge on to our customers in the tourism industry.
For me, therefore, year number 13 doesn't simply begin after twelve years. We want to combine experience, existing solutions, and long-standing relationships with the new possibilities of AI, and use this to shape the next phase of development for Tourismus Interaktiv.
And for that, besides technology, people, and experience, we also need a solid financial foundation: growth requires growth capital.
And remember: Big changes often start with small daily steps.
