TI CEO Podcast · episode 39
When AI doesn't just help, but works alongside us
1-minute summary
Christoph Standl talks in this episode about how artificial intelligence is no longer just assisting people but increasingly taking over tasks on its own. He explains that software is evolving from a pure tool into acting AI agents that process tasks, document results and trigger further steps. In the future, many specialized agents could work together with people and with each other. He reports that Tourismus Interaktiv invested heavily this past business year in structures, processes, the Company Brain and a task register to embed agentic working into daily operations. What matters, he says, is not who has the best AI, but how people and agents collaborate meaningfully, who handles which tasks, how handovers work, and how complexity is reduced rather than increased. This knowledge only comes through experimentation. Companies that start early will gain a long-term advantage. His own role as CEO is also changing: routine tasks should shift to systems so people can focus on customers, ideas, decisions and relationships. AI, he believes, is not just another tool but the beginning of a fundamental reorganization of work.
Description
I believe we are currently experiencing one of the biggest changes in our working world.
Not because artificial intelligence can write texts, create images, or answer questions. But because AI is increasingly starting to take over work.
With agentic working, the organization of companies is changing as well. In the future, specialized AI agents will be able to take over routine tasks, support processes, and collaborate with people and other systems.
At Tourismus Interaktiv, we have worked intensively this fiscal year to create the foundation for this: with new structures and processes, our Company Brain, a central task register, and the increasing use of AI agents.
For me, one of the decisive questions of the coming years will therefore be: How do you organize a company in which humans and AI agents work together?
Companies that engage intensively with this in 2026, 2027, and 2028 can gain valuable experience early on with this new form of work. Because technology is only part of it – it is just as important to learn how to reorganize work with it.
Perhaps one day we will look back and realize: AI wasn't just the next software tool. AI was the moment when we began to fundamentally reorganize work.
And remember: big changes often begin with small daily steps.
