Being Busy Does Not Mean Being Successful
1-minute summary
Christoph Standl talks in this episode about how being busy does not automatically mean being successful. He explains that artificial intelligence currently drives an enormous productivity boost, yet this doesn't automatically make companies more successful. Previously the question was how to get everything done, now it's which tasks are actually worth doing. At Tourismus Interaktiv, intensive work with AI agents is changing his own role: less about executing tasks himself, more about setting priorities and making decisions. His twelve years of entrepreneurial experience help assess situations correctly, with decisions increasingly made together with employees, partners, and AI support. Not everything possible should be implemented. Until Christmas, he wants to focus more strongly on priorities rather than simply doing as much as possible. Time remains limited, and he believes AI's greatest opportunity lies in gaining more time to think and make better decisions. He closes by asking how much time people spend completing tasks versus deciding which tasks truly matter.
Description
Being busy does not automatically mean being successful. Especially in the age of artificial intelligence, this realization is becoming more and more important.
In this episode of my CEO Diary, I talk about how my work as an entrepreneur is changing. Thanks to AI and automation, we can now accomplish far more tasks in less time. At the same time, this also creates more possibilities and more decisions to make.
After more than twelve years as an entrepreneur, I notice how important it becomes to set the right priorities, to bring in experience, and to make decisions together with employees, partners, and AI agents.
Because not everything that is technically possible also needs to be implemented.
The decisive question for me is therefore increasingly: not how much have we done today, but what have we truly moved forward?
