What AI-Native Really Means to Us
1-minute summary
Christoph Standl talks in this episode about what the term AI Native really means for Tourismus Interaktiv. He explains that it is not about deploying as many AI tools as possible, but about rethinking work from the ground up. For new tasks, he says the first question should be what information already exists in the TI Company Brain, what an agent can prepare, and what can be automated, and only then where people are truly needed. Decisions, he stresses, should still be made by humans, while systems and agents provide the decision basis. This, he believes, gives employees more time for customers, conversations, creativity and responsibility, while agents take over routine tasks like searching and checking information. AI Native, he says, is therefore not human or machine, but human and machine with a clear division of tasks. What matters, he adds, is whether the ongoing two-week sprints actually make processes faster, better and more reliable, not how many agents were built. AI Native, he concludes, is not a final state but a continuous evolution toward a better company.
Description
What does it actually mean to be an AI-native company? For me, it doesn't mean using as many AI tools or agents as possible. It means rethinking work from the ground up.
At Tourismus Interaktiv, we want to ask with every task going forward: What information is already available? What can our Company Brain provide? What can an agent prepare or automate? And where do we deliberately need a human for decisions, customer contact, creativity, and responsibility?
That's exactly a core part of Tourismus Interaktiv 3.0.
We don't measure our progress by how many agents we build. What matters is whether we become faster and more reliable, forget less, make better decisions, give our employees time for important tasks – and above all, improve quality for our customers.
In our two-week sprints, we want to keep checking exactly that, learn from it, and keep developing how we work.
To me, AI-native doesn't mean artificial intelligence takes over our company. It means that humans and artificial intelligence each do what they do best.
And remember: big changes often start with small daily steps.
