1-minute summary

In this thirtieth episode of his CEO diary, Christoph Standl looks eight years ahead: in 2034 Tourismus Interaktiv turns twenty. Started with infopoints and interactive information systems, he sees the company by then as a technology company with several platforms: Tourismus.one and Tourism.one for digital guest services, Infopoints.com for other industries, plus digital signage, cloud, automation and AI agents. The key, he says, is scalability: products that work for a hundred customers just as well as for a thousand or ten thousand – with consistent self-service, where customers register, configure and get answers around the clock themselves, and personal service wherever people create real value. Growth needs capital: placing the remaining shares, winning new investors, and a bond for device-as-a-service, with which TI invests in hardware itself and offers customers recurring models. Screens are getting bigger, up to LED walls that TI also wants to own and operate. His personal long-term goal: a company that is ready for the capital market – seeing its own shares in a securities account one day. You don't need to know every product for 2034, he says, but you need to know the direction. Big changes often begin with small daily steps.

Description

The 30th episode of my CEO diary – and a look eight years ahead: in 2034 Tourismus Interaktiv celebrates its 20th birthday. What could our company look like then? In this episode I talk about my long-term vision: Tourismus.one and Tourism.one, Infopoints.com, self-service, AI agents, device-as-a-service, LED walls and international scaling. Our ambition is to build products and processes that work for 100 customers today – and just as well for 1,000 or 10,000 customers in the future. That also includes capital: placing further shares, a planned bond for our device-as-a-service business and, in the long run, my personal goal of making Tourismus Interaktiv ready for the capital market step by step. I'm fascinated by the idea of opening my securities account one day and seeing the shares of the company we built ourselves over many years: Tourismus Interaktiv AG. We don't need to know every product for 2034 yet. But we need to know the direction.
